I'm back!

Hey everyone,

I know it's been a super long time since I've been on here, sometimes life just get's in the way you know? I graduated college, moved back home, found a new part time job, then got hired as a marketing consultant in the best city in the world (Washington, D.C) was working both jobs, then quit my part time job, moved to the city, and now I'm getting settled in my new apartment. Can you say crazy?!

So it was super easy to lose touch with my blog. But now that I'm getting settled back into a nice routine, It's time to bring this baby back! I moved to DuPont circle, woo woo! I actually live in the same apartment that I work in, so I have a 8 floor commute. Let's just say that when I oversleep I'm not too worried that I'll be late :)

So if anyone has any suggestions of stuff to do in D.C, please comment and let me know!

Fun with friends

For the fourth of july a bunch of my friends came up to my boyfriends house in Annapolis and we had a ton of fun hanging out on a boat! I was way too scared to bring my camera out on the boat but when we got back we had a fun little photoshoot (with the help of some jello shots... ;) ) It was a nice change to be behind the camera for once! And it was super fun just being silly! Here are some of my favorite shots of me and my friends, and sometimes just my friends!

The perfect date night dress

I remember the first time I saw this dress, I fell instantly in love. Its the perfect dress because it can be transformed from a day time walking around town dress to a perfect date night dress. I paired it with heels which make it a good date night outfit, but put on a pair of jacks and it's instantly turned into a dress to run errands in. It's from urban outfitters and older, but I linked some similar style dresses from Tobi.

A frolick through the fields

I went out to hang out in the fields with my best friend slash photographer in a super fun (and work appropriate!) Lauren Conrad dress.

Really quick, I want to talk about something that's really been on my mind lately. In the instagram game, it's easy to get swept up in being "perfect" and super skinny with the best clothes. It's hard to remind myself that it's okay that I'm not a size 0. I never have been, and I never will be and I'm working super hard on accepting myself for who I am. It can be so hard! What do ya'll do to keep your self confidence up?
